Flex Fit Kit Hire
Hiring a Flex fit kit is a great way to ensure the right fit before purchasing boots. Our kit includes three Flex Boots in consecutive sizes, chosen to closely match your horse’s measurements. Trying the fitting shells on your horse or pony makes it easier to find the best possible size for their hooves.
A small hire fee applies, payable when you book the fit kit. You’ll also need to cover postage costs both for delivery and return of the kit. If you decide to buy Flex Boots from us after using and returning the Fit Kit, we’ll deduct the deposit from your final purchase price.
Sizing
Flex Fit Kit fitting shells are available in all the same sizes as both the Classic and wide Flex Boots.
Materials
Flex Boots are made from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), a material often described as a hybrid between plastic and rubber. It combines the flexibility of rubber with the strength and durability of plastic.
Care Instructions
To keep the fitting shells in great condition, we kindly ask that you try them on clean hooves only. Placing a clean, soft surface such as a towel underneath while fitting can help protect the soles from wear.
Before fitting, be sure to clean your horse’s hooves thoroughly. After use, please remove any dirt or debris from the shells. They can be gently rinsed with water, but avoid using cleaning products. If rinsed, allow the shells to dry fully in a well-ventilated area, out of direct sunlight. Please ensure they are completely dry before sending them back to us.
If the fitting shells are returned with dirt or debris, a cleaning fee of [add amount] may be deducted from any refund or credit. Please also note that if the shells are returned damaged, we won’t be able to refund the hire fee, even if you choose to purchase boots from us afterward.
How does the Fit Kit hire work?
If you want to make sure of your fit, it is ideal to hire a Fit Kit. Fit Kit hire includes three sizing shells to try on your horse. It is best to try the shells on straight after a fresh trim.
The $85 price charged is a deposit for hiring a Fit Kit (three sizing shells).
When you return your Fit Kit, a Fit Kit fee of $15 will be retained from your deposit for admin, postage & handling. This leaves a $70 deposit to be returned as a refund or store credit.
Please return your Fit Kit clean, dry, and with all parts intact within 21 days of the delivery date. A fee of $10 per week will apply for late returns beyond 21 days.
Additional fees
A cleaning fee of $10-15 will be deducted from your deposit if the kit is returned excessively muddy or dirty. If you need to keep the Fit Kit for longer than the initial 21 day period, please get in touch to let us know. We will still charge a $10 fee per additional week over the 21 day hire period.
If we've agreed to send additional shells, the 21-day period resets from the day you receive the latest shells.
What happens to my Fit Kit deposit?
The remaining deposit minus any fees as described above will be issued to you as either a refund or store credit once we receive the Fit Kit back from you. A store credit will be issued as a code to be used at checkout.
If you want boots as quickly as possible, then simply order online and return your Fit Kit to us separately, and contact us directly for a refund.

What if I have already ordered boots before returning my Fit Kit?
If you've already ordered boots and returned your Fit Kit, we will refund the remaining deposit minus the Fit Kit fee. Alternatively, you can request the remaining deposit issued to you as a Store Credit code.
We cannot refund you or issue a Store Credit until your Fit Kit has been returned and received by us.
Please note, any Store Credit code is non-refundable after 12 months from the date it was applied.
How do I get the Fit Kit back to you?
You are responsible for returning the Fit Kit to us at your own cost, and we cannot issue a refund until the Fit Kit is received. Therefore, we recommend using a tracked postage method. If the Fit Kit is returned with any parts missing, broken, or dirty, the cost of repairing or replacing those parts will be deducted from your deposit.
