FlexMini Ahti is a precision-engineered, lightweight hoof boot designed specifically for miniature horses, ponies, and foals.

Ahti is not a scaled-down Flex Boot. It has been redesigned to match the proportions, biomechanics, and lighter load of small equines. The result is a streamlined, adjustable boot that supports natural movement while delivering reliable protection and performance.

Sizing

FlexMini Ahti is available in 5 mm size increments for precise fitting:

60 – 65 – 70 – 75

Due to the compact dimensions of miniature hooves, trimming precision is critical. Measurements should be taken immediately after a fresh, anatomically correct trim.

Ahti performs best on hooves maintained in their natural structure. Excess toe length or imbalance can compromise seating, breakover, and performance.

Fit Guidance

FlexMini Ahti is designed for anatomically trimmed hooves.

For optimal function:

• The hoof must seat fully into the toe of the shell
• Strap adjustment should only be finalized after correct seating
• Regular maintenance trims are essential

Because of the smaller scale, Ahti is precise rather than overly forgiving.

The sole provides effective shock absorption and reliable grip across varied terrain including grass, arena footing, forest trails, gravel, and snow.

Pads Compatibility

Mini-specific 2.5 mm Ahti EVA pads are available for horses needing additional cushioning or support.

It is not compatible with Flex Boots EVA or Synthetic Felt Pads.

Pads may be used when necessary, but Ahti is designed to function biomechanically without relying on thick padding.

Materials

• Boot shell, Rear Unit, Strap Anchor, Pastern Strap and Back Strap:
  Manufactured from high-quality thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). This material combines flexibility, durability, and weather resistance, ensuring reliable performance in varied conditions.

• Neoprene Gaiter:
  Made from 4 mm neoprene with laminated fabric on both sides. Provides cushioning, protects sensitive skin, and helps prevent rubbing.

• Rivets:
  Durable plastic components designed for secure fastening and long-term reliability.

Care instructions

FlexMini Ahti is designed for easy maintenance and long service life.

After use:

• Rinse off dirt and debris with clean water

• Allow boots to dry in a well-ventilated area

• Avoid storage in closed boxes or vehicles

For deeper cleaning:

• Boot and straps (TPU parts) can be brushed and rinsed with water 

• Avoid harsh cleaning products, which may weaken TPU

• Neoprene Gaiter may be rinsed or machine washed on a cold cycle

• Air dry only - do not tumble dry

Regular use helps maintain TPU flexibility.
